ANNA ROSSELL - NUEVO LIBRO

 Anna Rossell nos invita  a  la presentación de su nuevo libro

INVITACIÓ A PRESENTACIÓ DE LLIBRE DE POEMES D'ANNA ROSSELL
Estimades amigues, estimats amics,
tinc el goig de poder-te convidar a la presentació d’un nou llibre de poemes, que després d’aquest malson de la pandèmia ha pogut veure la llum en les dues versions, independents, en l’original català i la seva traducció a l’espanyol (traducció meva). El llibre és un únic poema èpic:

Us deixo el meu llegat per si algun dia… (Oratori en XVII cants), original català

Os dejo mi legado por si algún día… (Oratorio en XVII cantos), traducció de l’autora

Ambdues versions van acompanyades d’un enllaç a un àudio de parts recitades del llibre (amb la meva veu) i les creacions musicals introductòries a les corresponents recitacions (d’autoria de Mercedes Delclós).

Després de tant de temps d’aïllament i nul·la comunicació física, sento aquesta presentació com una oportunitat especial de retrobament amb tu i em faria encara més il·lusió veure’t físicament.

No cal dir que tenim en compte totes les precaucions per conservar la salut de totes les persones. La presentació serà al jardí, espai obert, a l’aire lliure. Mascareta obligatòria.

Si vols portar algú que et sembli que hi pugui estar interessat/da, hi serà molt benvingut/da.

I am endeavouring to bring the songs of my father back into the world after being forgotten for so long.  I have the opportunity to record these together with songs of Gerald Finzi, Michael Head and Elizabeth Poston and to be sung by Roderick Williams, Diana Moore and Robin Tritschler together with the pianist John Reid.  We are all excited about this project and to go forward I have turned to Crowdfunder to make this all happen.

It is always a cruel injustice when a telnet is cut off at the moment of recognition and when repayment for all the hardship years would have been round the corner.  As John Amis said in his programme "Forgotten Reputations" recorded in 1989 for BBC3 "of all the musicians of the 30's and 40's William Busch is the most likely to be forgotten".  He was only 43 when he died.  And now, with your help I am going to change that and I am thrilled to be able to bring this project to fruition.

For donations of £40 I would like to offer the complete CD and thanks again for making this come true.
