RSPB campaign to attract visitors to local reserves launched |
We worked closely with the team at Eastern England RSPB to design a hyper-local community engagement programme. The purpose of the project is to increase people’s engagement with both wildlife and their local reserve.
Hyper-local is a key element in the project, this campaign is targeted at just two different postcodes with a piece of highly actionable direct mail given to each child in the catchment school of that postcode.
The postcard tells the family exactly how far they are from their local reserve and gives them free entry for the children. The idea is that they visit the reserve, learn about how to create homes for nature and then go home and put some of those things into practice and put the window sticker in the window.
Gradually postcodes will fill up with window stickers and the bug hotels etc in the gardens will start to create green corridors! In essence we want to mobilise people to extend their local reserve into their own garden, school or community space.

A new brand for a brilliant shared reading project |
I loved taking part in the Writers' Centre Norwich 'Summer Reads' last year and had made a mental note to do it again this year, so I was delighted that Special were asked to rebrand the programme. The graphics, just like the programme are bold and exciting and ask the question, "Where will your next book take you?".
Click here to see more of the work.
I urge you to join thousands of other readers in a summer of shared reading - 6 books, 18 libraries, 65 events!
Melanie Kidd, Project Coordinator at WCN says:
“This year Brave New Reads is bigger than ever. We’re inviting readers across three counties to get involved in events at their local library. And anyone, anywhere can read the books and join the conversation online. Last year people joined in from as far away as Australia!”

We continue to work on the website for the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts and we are delighted to see the new image-led homepage promoting the groundbreaking Francis Bacon and the Masters exhibition.
The show opens this weekend and it is a unique opportunity to see work from old and modern masters including Velázquez, Rembrandt,Titian, Michelangelo, Rodin, Van Gogh, Picasso and Matisse here in Norwich. Many of the works come from the collection of the State Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg.
